Mermaiding Jumpstart in Alexandria, VA

January 25 & February 8, 2025
1:00- 3:15

This 2.25 hour adult class is designed to teach you everything you need to know to start mermaiding safely. Join Mermaid Chè Monique for an intensive that covers selecting your tail and monofin, learning the mermaid swim technique, important safety information, basic solo and partner tricks. If you are interested in mermaiding this is the class to take before diving in. All genders are welcome.

Tails are available for you to use during class.

 Prerequisites: swim 25 yards unassisted, float or tread water for 2 min. We will perform a swim test at the first session to ensure all students are capable of requirements.

  • Please bring a dive mask and snorkel
  • Bring a coverup, so you can warm up poolside
  • Please contact Mermaid Chè Monique when you register, so she can make sure to bring a tail in your size.
